LEBANON HANOVER - Asylum Lullabies LP
Lebanon Hanover return with songs that can bridge the time until the next appointment with your favorite therapist. Almost five years after the release of their last album, "Sci-Fi Sky," Lebanon Hanover has now created a soundtrack for a visit to a psychiatric hospital with "Asylum Lullabies." The new album is the evolution of an even colder, more caustic sound from a band that has dominated the nu wave/post-punk scene for over a decade. It's a very heavy album that deals with mental health issues, a breakup, ongoing wars, and the current horror of the world, which ultimately leaves you with anxiety, fear, and a constant feeling of being crushed. Everything collapses at once. Members Larissa Iceglass and William Maybeline wrote these songs from polarizing perspectives, producing a coherent album.
For fans of Twin Tribes, Ash Code, Selofan, cold wave, independent, and post-punk
